Salsa Verde – Green Tomatillo Salsa

Salsa Verde - Green Salsa

About the Recipe

I love this salsa on beef and pork. I think the tartness of the tomatillos pairs well with grilled beef. That's why I love it on my street beef tacos or Puerco al Pastor. The fresh flavor compliments the boldness of the beef and the seasonings of the pork.

It is simple to make and it is something you won't find at your friend's dinner unless you share this recipe. Making Salsa Verde from scratch will set your dinner apart.

Serve it with chips, or use it on tacos, nachos, or any of your favorite Mexican dishes. It is delicious.

Place all the ingredients in a food processor and blend until everything is chopped and blended.

If you don't have a food processor you can use a blender but may need to add a little tomatillo juice if it is too thick.

You can eat it right away, but you can chill it for a few hours or overnight in an air-tight container.  The flavors will bloom.
