If you eat burgers, it is a good bet that you love a grilled burger.

You can have delicious grilled burgers any night of the week, or be prepared for a party without all the work because you did it earlier.

Using the Batch Flame Grilled Hamburger Patties recipe and all the toppings you like, have a grilled hamburger tonight, tomorrow, or whenever but only fire up the grill once for multiple meals.

Variations

Preheat some of the thick-cut bacon you cooked ahead of time in your food prep and your family and guests will rave about your burgers forever.

SEASONING TIP:

If you simply love the flavor of the grilled meat, skip Dale’s seasoning and liberally sprinkle your patties with Kosher Salt and ground Black Pepper, that’s it. They will be delicious!

Instructions

  1. Cooking the Burger Patties

Divide the meat into balls about 6oz each.

Pour Dale's seasoning, or your favorite mixture, into a small bowl.

Line 2 sheet pans with parchment paper.

Place 6 patties on each sheet pan.  Cover with another parchment paper sheet.

Flatten them to about a 1/4 inch thick using the bottom of a 10" pot.

They will seem very wide and large, but they will shrink and thicken when they cook.

Using a pastry brush, lightly spread each patty with the seasoning liquid

Add any other dry seasonings you want to the burgers.  Be careful not to add too many salty seasonings because the liquid mixture is very salty.

Preheat your grill and oil the grate. If you are cooking with gas, place the burners on high. Close the lid until the internal temp of the grill chamber reaches 400 F.

Place the burger patties on the grill leaving a little space between each one.  Close the lid for 2 minutes.

Open the lid and turn each patty about 45 degrees to put beautiful grill marks on the first side. Close the lid and cook for another 2 minutes.

Open the lid and flip each patty. Close the lid again for 3 minutes.

Your burgers should be about medium to medium-well at this point.  If you don't like pink in your burgers, let them grill a couple more minutes until the juices run clear.

Quickly remove patties from the grill and stack them on a serving platter or half pan.

  2. Using pre-cooked patties that have been vacuumed sealed and frozen

    Preheat the oven to 350.

Use patties from the Batch Flame Grilled Hamburger Patties You can start these from frozen or refrigerated,  If you thaw them first, like overnight in the fridge, they will reheat faster.

Place the burgers you want to reheat on a quarter or half sheet pan, top with cheese if you want cheeseburgers, and add the cold Batch Bacon on top of the cheese if you are having Bacon Cheese Burgers.

Place the sheet pan in the oven and everything will be hot in about 20 minutes and perfect.  Reheat the burger to 165.

In the meantime, prepare your buns and condiments.

Butter the inside of your buns and toast them on a griddle or cast iron pan.

When the hot burgers come out of the oven, place them on the buns, add the toppings, and serve.

  3. Putting the burgers together

I know that you know how to put together a burger, but I wanted to show you that you can have grilled burgers anytime, even with bacon, without firing up the grill or frying the bacon.  The best part is, by reheating the burgers in the oven, you'll never notice that the burgers or bacon were pre-cooked.

Add the toppings you like and make your burgers your masterpiece.
